About me
Studied languages (German & Spanish) at university then lived in Spain
Worked for 12 years in consumer PR, mostly at Ogilvy in London for global clients
Became a translator so that I could focus on writing and use my language skills
Started sharing my ideas for better marketing translations after being dismayed at the quality of translated marketing copy
Worked with a world-leading consumer brand for 5 years (and counting) to improve translated copy and help scale localisation operations
I combine all these strands to help SMEs do better marketing in other languages, along with a healthy dose of empathy and respect – as a Brit who learned languages the hard way, a big part of my work is about demystifying and simplifying the whole translation process for clients.
